HI Friends, here's another gem from the 84 batch, Shailesh Kumar Choudhry. After returning from Delhi in 1992 I was really surprised to see that my parents have shifted to N-49/2 near Kharangajhar, and guess what? Shailesh's parents stayed in N-49/3. We met several times in between whenever our holidays coincided.

Sailesh Kumar. After having served with IAF for 20 yrs. He is now settled in Pune, currently working wih a construction company.

After GHS, I did +2 from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, there after in 1986, I joined BIT, Mesra, Ranchi in Electronics and Communications Engg. Passed out in 1990. I was in Shyam Telecom, N.Delhi for a short while then in 1991, I got this job as Scientist 'B' at Centre For Reliability (CFR) under Standardisation, Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate of Department of Electronics, Government of India. Now it has been renamed as Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and IT, Govt. of India, Chennai. Currently, I am Scientist "E' or Additional Director. I am also Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) from American Society for Quality (ASQ), USA. I am doing my research on Software Reliability.

Thats Sanjib Debnath aka "giddu" for you, snapped recently in Kolkata at his LIC office where he is working for last 15 years, he is with LIC for last 18 years or so and got married in 2006.

Me and Kamaljit Singh Chanay, discussing finer details of the menu, the night before, at Golmuri club lounge. Thanks to Manish Verma who arranged for the venue - a scenic lounge over viewing the Nildih Golf Course adjacent to the Golmuri Club.

Ultimately it was Satendra Nath Prasad who had actually finalised the details (he had done a great job - Sattu, we loved the food and the menu selection).

This event wouldn't have been possible without the active support, coordination and cooperation of Satendra, Manish, Kamaljit Singh Chanay.

Friends it was fun ! Tons of laughter, a few sparkle in the eyes, a few glistening eyes, some droplets of tears of Happiness and bonding. We could finally meet after a year long search for long lost FREINDS. Thanks a ton to the host team of Jamshedpur and those who made it to Jamshedpur - inspite of all their engagements to make it a success ! We remembered many we missed many more the search s still on to make it a even better bigger event next time.

At the outset I must thank u and Kamaljeet for bringing all batchmates together.

 

Let me tell u what I did after leaving GHS.After doing plus 2 frm Rajendra Vidhyalaya, I went to AFMC for MBBS with a bond for a short service (5 yrs) in the Indian Army. During MBBS I met my husband Manas, and we got married in Dec 1991 .While I got my release from Army in Dec 1996, and went on to do PG in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and plunged in private practise, Manas is still continuing in Service and is presently posted as Associate Prof in the Department of Dermatology at AFMC and Command Hospital Pune.We have been blessed with a daughter, Puja who has just gone to 11 std. Army life is exciting. I could do Para jumps  during my short stint. Presently, I am working as Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Inlaks and Budhrani Hospital, Pune.Do visit us at Pune.

I have checked out the blogspot entries and was very happy to read how well everyone is doing.Venu, G V Rao,A V Mathews,Issac, Izhar, Uday, Satender, Anurag, Malathi and ofcouse kamaljeet and Sumanto.I have a very  clear memory of Sumanto - clad in starched kurta pyjama on the stage with his sitar  during every annual day function while we would be sweating in a cumbersome mask trying to look like a frog or a deer for the dance-drama

Three cheers to Kamaljeet & Sumanto !! great work. If GHS 84 group does not exist then for many more years I would have been searching you all and also some one……

Let me briefly run through my life story past 1984- After my Engineering from REC Suratkal, Mangalore, I returned to Jamshedpur worked in TRF for 5 years and later joined L&T. Left Jamshedpur in the yr 1999 to Chennai, then Delhi and finally during my Hyderabad posting, I resigned and joined Windsor Machines Ltd, a Piramal group company. From 2003 till date I am working in the company. Moved from Pune, Mumbai and Ahmedabad in the early years. Now settled in Pune, as Head- National sales. My job assigned is sales and marketing, so traveling is inevitable, 20 days out, within India to all our regional offices at Delhi, Kol, Mum, Chennai, Hyd, Cochin, Blr. Fed up ho gaya !!! Life.

Let me explore for a new office at Dheradon. Don’t worry !! just joking !

Yes, my family life --------------
Married in the year 1996. My wife, Kalpana is from Bhubaneswar, had done her MA in Eco and Stats. With my life definition, she preferred to be at home. Rahul is now in class VI, studying in Bishop’s school, Pune.

Some of who know my bothers, Srinivas has settled in Chennai working with FFS a multi National and Eshwar settled in pune working with Cognigent, a software company. Parents presently at Chennai at Srinivas’s place.

The summary is : There is no time for SELF. Life has just become very mechanical.

My first meet after the success of this group formed was recently at Ahmedabad, with Anurag. Yaar Munda tho badal gaya. How shy and quite he was, I felt just the reverse. Had dinner at his place, yes few sips of whisky and we both shared our school days movements, some secrets which were told only then and asked to forget…..Enjoyed at his home with his family, very nice. In fact I was very happy to meet, Anurag’s mother too as I remember going to his house in Telco, Gadi park area and she used to greet me first… Great moments !

Sumanto, we were to meet on 20th of Dec at Ahmedabad, what happened.

Malay, being in Pune I always wished to meet, Dattar Madam, can you please call me or convey Madam’s address, r u also in pune, pl reply immediately.

Uday- How are you, miss you all a lot.
